The largest metaverse in Asia goes web3 — ZTX is a web3 metaverse platform empowering creators and communities to build, play and earn. Founded in 2022, ZTX is the joint blockchain initiative of ZEPETO — the largest metaverse in Asia with over 350 million lifetime users — and Jump Crypto. The below video is a sizzle real of the great things I helped launch at ZTX.

As Head of Marketing at ZTX, I lead growth, community, go-to-market strategy and design leadership for one of the world’s fastest-growing Web3 gaming companies. I oversee campaigns, partnerships, and user acquisition across globally distributed teams spanning six countries and five time zones, leveraging ZEPETO—Asia’s largest metaverse with over 430 million lifetime users—to drive engagement and scale our brand worldwide.


OpenSea Launch

ZTX, the innovative Web3 creation platform, has partnered with OpenSea to launch the highly anticipated Genesis Home Mint on August 30 via Arbitrum. This drop introduces 4,000 free NFT District Homes across ZTX’s four key districts—fashion, gaming, finance, and art—rewarding early supporters and ambassadors. Each home is fully 3D-rendered, packed with in-game utilities, and offers customization, exclusive content access, and governance rights within the district treasuries. This initiative transforms virtual land ownership, empowering creators and collectors to engage, interact, and earn on-chain rewards while shaping the ZTX ecosystem.


ZTX Home Traits

ZTX Genesis Homes are built with 84 unique traits across nine categories, shaping each home’s in-game appearance, functionality, and role within the metaverse. The design balances aesthetics, customization, and utility, allowing each home to feel personal while offering meaningful gameplay benefits.

Trait Details

Trait Categories:

  • Background: Skybox visible from the home, from Black or Blue to the rare Aurora Borealis.

  • Size: Physical structure (1, 2, or 3-story).

  • Billboard: Presence of a billboard (Yes/None).

  • District: Arts, Fashion, Financial, or Games, each with unique aesthetics and governance benefits.

  • Door Type: Front door style/material (Simple, Glass, Ornate, Neon, Diamond).

  • Ground: Surrounding environment (Grass, Concrete, Ice, Marble, Space).

  • Secret Room: Hidden areas like Cat, Dog, Gym, or none.

  • Slots: Additional in-game slots providing gameplay boosts.

  • Special: Companion features (Bird, Monkey, Ghost, Unicorn, or none).

Utility & Impact:


These traits are more than cosmetic—they define explorable homes, boost gameplay and resource collection, and provide district-specific access and governance, giving holders both creative freedom and tangible influence within the ZTX ecosystem.


Web3 Tier 1 Partnerships

ZTX has leveraged strategic partnerships to drive mainstream adoption and establish itself as a leading Web3 brand. Collaborations with Dust Labs (DeGods), 88rising, and creator Lenge delivered exclusive digital collectibles and home designs, while CREATOR Chain & ZKsync enabled seamless onboarding of millions of Web2 users from ZEPETO. These efforts helped ZTX sell out its NFT collections, empower creators with on-chain monetization, and position the platform as a high-performance hub connecting Web2 audiences to Web3.

  • Lenge (Creator): Partnered with a leading creator for exclusive digital home designs in ZTX’s Fashion District.

ZTX Wearables

As Head of Marketing, I led the launch of ZTX Wearables to create greater value for holders, generate additional business revenue, and drive long-term engagement within the community. We positioned these wearables as strategic NFT-linked products, collaborating with some of Web3’s top projects to make them exclusive, collectible, and meaningful for users. By partnering with the world’s best artists, we elevated the design and desirability of each wearable, creating products that not only enhance the holder experience but also build lifetime value (LTV) for the ZTX ecosystem. This approach transformed wearables into both a utility and a collectible, strengthening ZTX’s brand presence and revenue potential in the Web3 space.


ZTX Honorary Homes

Introducing the 4 Genesis Districts in ZTX—Fashion, Games, Financial, and Arts—each offering unique aesthetics and immersive experiences. Users can join a District and unlock special benefits by owning one of the 4,000 custom Genesis District Homes, which serve as personal, interactive spaces within ZTX. As Head of Marketing, I led the strategy to forge tier-1 Web3 partnerships, creating bespoke honorary Genesis Homes for top projects including DeGods, Sappy Seals, Pudgy Penguins, and Magic Eden, amplifying launch visibility, driving engagement, and positioning ZTX as a premier Web3 ecosystem.


ZTX x DeGods

ZTX (a metaverse platform) partnered with DeGods (a popular NFT collection) and Dust Labs (DeGods' creator) for a major NYC activation during NFT.NYC 2023, featuring a city-wide scavenger hunt called LOST.NYC with real-world prizes, bridging digital NFTs with physical exploration, and offering exclusive ZTX branded wearables for DeGods holders in the ZTX metaverse. This collaboration brought NFTs to life in New York City, linking the digital DeGods community with immersive, tangible experiences. 

Outcomes

Key Aspects of the Partnership:

  • LOST.NYC Event: ZTX, DeGods, and StepN organized a large-scale scavenger hunt across NYC, rewarding participants with significant prizes and creating a unique Web3 experience.

  • Exclusive Wearables: DeGods NFT holders gained access to special, branded digital wearables within the ZTX metaverse (like in Zepeto) through the Avatar Builder, as detailed in a July 2023 announcement.

  • Bridging Digital & Physical: The initiative aimed to move NFTs beyond just digital art, allowing holders to engage with them in the real world through the hunt and branded digital assets, according to this blog post.

  • Timing: The partnership culminated around NFT.NYC in April 2023, with ZTX thanking the DeGods team on X (formerly Twitter) for the successful event, notes this X post

Details of the Partnership

  • Exclusive Wearables: DeGods NFT holders were granted access to exclusive in-world apparel, specifically a branded sweatshirt and sweatpants.

  • Avatar Builder Integration: These digital assets could be equipped to user avatars via the ZTX Avatar Builder, a web application for creating customizable 3D avatars.

  • Enhanced Utility: The initiative was designed to expand the DeGods intellectual property (IP) and enhance the utility for community members by allowing them to use their branded gear within the ZTX 3D open-world environment.

  • Community-Centric Initiative: This collaboration was ZTX's first "Partner Wearables" collection, an initiative focused on providing IP partners with tools to create 3D assets for use within its metaverse. 


ZTX x LA

ZTX hosted an exclusive pre-release influencer event during NFT.LA Week to celebrate the launch of its NFT collection. The event brought together top Web3 influencers, media, and community leaders for an immersive experience in ZTX’s virtual world, offering a first look at the Genesis District Homes and other digital assets. By combining in-person networking with virtual demonstrations, the event generated buzz, strengthened brand awareness, and positioned ZTX as a leading innovator in the Web3 space.


Game Loop Trailer

As Head of Marketing, I oversaw the production of an elevated product video showcasing ZTX’s core game loop to build anticipation for the Genesis Homes mint. The campaign successfully drove engagement, garnering over 250,000 views on Twitter within a week, amplifying awareness and excitement around the collection.


ZTX Craftables

I was part of the launch team of Crafting in ZTX, a core feature that empowers users to express themselves through creating wearables, furniture, and decor items in their personal Fusion Forge. By combining resources and in-game currencies (gold, $ZTX, or both), users can initiate the crafting process, transforming raw materials into fully realized items over time. This feature not only enhances user creativity and engagement but also drives deeper interaction with the ZTX ecosystem, reinforcing long-term value for holders.
